Job description

Restaurant Attendant

The Restaurant Attendant ensures guests receive friendly, professional food service. Maintains a clean and inviting dining room environment, performs side work, and complies with all health and safety standards in addition to Department of Health regulations.

The work is performed in a casual dining restaurant at an active senior community in Clearwater, FL. The position is overseen by the Dining Room Manager with the overall direction of the Property Manager.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

Practice “instant recognition” in greeting guests
Greet and seat guests
Assist with food preparation as needed
Answers phone and takes phone orders
Prepare and package individual place settings
Serve beverages and meal to guests
Clean and reset tables when guests have finished dining
Assist in washing dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, pans using dishwasher or by hand
Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, or utensils in clean and orderly condition
Maintain communication with dining room, kitchen staff, and guests
Support kitchen and wait staff
Perform side work assignments including food deliveries to apartments
Adhere to all dining room policies and procedures
Comply with health and safety standards and regulations for food handling
